Matt Leonard, our dance instructor, has been dancing and teaching country dancing for over 20 years in this area.  An experienced instructor, he has taught previously at many other area studios including Blackie's in Springfield and Nick's in Alexandria.  Matt has a long history of working in the dance industry and started dancing at the Red Moon in 1992.  Matt knows many dance styles but specializes in teaching Two Step, East Coast, West Coast, Waltz, and various forms of couples dancing and line dancing.

Matt has a true love for country dancing and enjoys teaching others so that they too can enjoy and develop a love for country dancing.  You will find that Matt has a way of breaking down seemingly complicated dance patterns into moves that even a beginner can understaind.  His patient teaching style makes learning to dance very enjoyable.
